A

Acre: A unit of area commonly used in land measurement, equal to 4,046.86 square meters or 43,560 square feet.

Area: The amount of two-dimensional space a surface covers, typically measured in square units (e.g., square meters, square feet).

C

Celsius (°C): A temperature scale where water freezes at 0° and boils at 100°, used in most of the world outside the United States.

Centimeter (cm): A metric unit of length equal to one-hundredth of a meter.

Conversion Factor: The number used to multiply or divide a value to change it from one unit to another.

Cup: A US customary unit of volume commonly used in cooking, equal to approximately 236.6 milliliters.

Volume: The amount of three-dimensional space a substance or object occupies, typically measured in liters, gallons, or cubic units.

W

Weight: A measure of how heavy an object is, typically measured in grams, kilograms, ounces, or pounds. (Note: weight technically differs from mass, though the terms are often used interchangeably in everyday conversions.)

Y

Yard (yd): An imperial unit of length equal to 3 feet or approximately 0.9144 meters.
